Privacy policy

How we handle personal data, written in plain English and in line with UK GDPR.

This is version 1.0 of the privacy notice, published 1 January 2026. When you agree to this notice on one of our forms, we store the date, the time and this version number with your record.

Who we are

Early Careers operates earlycareers.org, a UK platform connecting young people with apprenticeships, graduate roles, entry-level jobs, training and work experience. The service is run by CS-GB CIC, a community interest company registered in England and Wales, company number 12654134, with a registered office at 85 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7NQ. CS-GB CIC is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to provide support or publish an opportunity.

  • Support requests: name, contact details, location, current situation, interests and any adjustments you tell us about
  • Referrals: the referrer's organisation and contact details, and the young person's name, age, contact details and support needs
  • Employer listings: organisation details, contact details and the content of the opportunity
  • Contact messages: name, email address and the content of your message
  • Technical data: anonymised analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies

Why we use it

Support requests and referrals are processed on the basis of consent, so that we can contact you with suitable opportunities and advice. Employer listings are processed on the basis of legitimate interests, so that we can review and publish opportunities.

You do not need an account to search or view opportunities, and we do not require you to register to use the site.

Who we share it with

We share a young person's details with an employer only where they have asked us to, or where they apply directly. We share referral outcomes with the referring institution where consent has been given.

We never sell personal data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Support requests and referrals are kept for 24 months from the last contact, then deleted. Employer listings are kept while they are live and for 12 months afterwards. Contact messages are kept for 12 months.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the site work. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • ask us to delete your data
  • withdraw consent at any time
  • complain to the Information Commissioner's Office
