Role overview
TechStart is recruiting school and college leavers for a six-month paid employment programme in White City. This is not an unpaid training course or a short work experience placement. You will join TechStart as a paid member of the team, receive practical training and work on real projects for businesses, charities and community organisations. The programme is designed for young people interested in technology, artificial intelligence, business or the creative industries who may not yet have professional experience or know which career route is right for them. For the right candidate, the role could lead to a longer-term position and a paid apprenticeship with Multiverse in artificial intelligence and business. Candidates suited to a Level 6 route may also be considered for a degree apprenticeship pathway, subject to performance, eligibility, funding and programme availability.
What you will do
- Support projects involving websites and e-commerce
- Help test and use artificial intelligence tools
- Carry out data and business research
- Contribute to digital marketing and content
- Support graphic design and user experience work
- Help with project administration
- Take part in customer and employer communications
- Support events and programme delivery
- Work on live client projects, such as updating a website, researching a market or helping organise an event
Who they are looking for
This role may suit you if you have recently left school or college, are looking for your first full-time job, are unsure whether university is right for you, and are interested in technology, AI, business or digital work. You do not need previous professional experience, a degree or advanced technical skills. We are more interested in your attitude, reliability, curiosity and willingness to learn.
