What a work coach does
A work coach helps you plan your next step, find vacancies and training, and can sometimes help with costs such as travel to interview or clothing for work.
Youth support
Many Jobcentres have dedicated support for people aged 16 to 24, including sector-based work academy programmes that combine training with a guaranteed interview.
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses lasting up to 16 weeks with a guaranteed job interview on completion. They are generally available to people aged 19 and over who live in England.
You do not need to claim benefits to get help
Some Jobcentre Youth Hubs offer drop-in support to young people who are not claiming Universal Credit. Availability varies by area.
Ask your local Jobcentre or Youth Hub what is open to you before you assume you are not eligible.
